De performance is gebaseerd op de vijf stadia in de lichtcyclus van een etmaal: duister, ochtendschemer, daglicht, avondschemer en duister.

Voor elk stadium is een gregoriaanse melodie gekozen die een uur lang herhaald gezongen wordt door meerdere zangers. Het klankweefsel dat ontstaat, verbindt zich met het veranderende licht en de ruimte. Tijdens elk van de vijf lichtstadia, zijn bezoekers een uur lang welkom.
